JOB SUMMARY: The Tree Service Technician performs tree removal from the ground or a bucket truck and assists with maintaining grounds throughout the tree removal process.

Uses a chainsaw to cut limbs from the ground as well as from a bucket truck.

Runs limbs and sticks through the chipper, makes sure that all sticks and leaves are raked up.

Assists with running ropes, operates skid loaders, and grinds stumps with a stump grinder.

Actively looks at what can be done to help create a smooth tree removal process.

Works directly with customers to achieve desired results that are up to SSPI standards

Maintains tools and equipment by cleaning, sharpening, and lubricating.

Is mindful of customers and neighboring properties, limiting damage and incidents.

Is mindful of company equipment and property, limiting damage and misuse.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must have a valid driver license and motor vehicle record must pass for insurability.

Class A CDL is required within 90 days of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, and kneel.

Must be willing to stand on raised platforms at extreme heights.
-
Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
